A Message From Chrisa & Gretchen

chrisagretchenBy now you have heard us talk about BarCamp Recruit or if we have done a good job – the word is getting around. The most common question we get is “Why are you doing this?” And our answers are plenty, but to start with:

  • We are passionate about Recruiting and Human Resources! – Yes you heard it here first!
  • We recognize the need for and importance of networking and ensuring you stay on the cutting edge of what’s going on and on top of your game.
  • We don’t claim to know everything but know that by putting a group of very smart people together, the brainpower is exponentially increased and the ideas are ground breaking.
  • We want to give back to the community and create a comfortable environment for people to come and share and learn. Hopefully that community will grow from local to national over time.
  • Yes, BarCamp is a little un-conventional, but that is why we are attracted to the concept – we love the idea of mixing it up and having fun while learning!
  • We are creating the change we want to see!

    We hope that you will join us in creating this amazing event.

    Get ready for a great day! Although the content of the event will be set that day, the following is the time table for the day:

    7:30 AM Check-in and Registration
    8:20 AM: Introduction
    8:30 AM: Key Note & The Red Shoe Project Presentation
    9:30 AM: Session 1
    10:45 AM: Session 2
    12:00 PM: Lunch
    1:30 PM: Session 3
    2:45 PM: Session 4
    3:45 PM: Wrap-up
    4:00 PM - Whenever: HAPPY HOUR Duke’s Place @ The Balboa Bay Club

    A few notes about the schedule of events:
    1. We will begin at 8:20 AM sharp!
    2. Sessions are 50 minutes long. If you have hopes of facilitating a session, please plan accordingly.
    3. Your $24.99 attendee fee gets you lunch! Lunch will be provided by The Balboa Bay Club.
